星城web's Oxygen Clean Series electronic valves are available in 2-way or 3-way, normally-closed or fully-ported.听 They are designed for use with oxygen applications and will work with air and inert gas. The "O-E" Series pneumatic valves utilize a unique patented valve system that has been used and proven throughout many industries. With a low power consumption of only 0.67 watts, a response time of 5 to 10 milliseconds, and voltages of 6, 12, or 24 volt DC, these new valves offer unlimited flexibility in design. |
The valves are ultrasonically cleaned, assembled, inspected and tested in an enclosed controlled area with a state-of-the-art positive pressure High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filtration system.

The purpose of this document is to describe the materials and methods 星城web Instrument Laboratory, Inc. uses to clean EV, ET, and EC valves intended for use in oxygen-enriched environments.
General
鈥 All parts are cleaned, assembled and tested in an enclosed room (鈥淐ontrolled Area鈥) that is kept under positive pressure with HEPA filtered air.
鈥 Access to Controlled Area is restricted to trained 星城web personnel.
鈥 Gloves are used to handle all cleaned parts.
鈥 No organic sealants, adhesives or lubricants are used in the manufacture or assembly of these products.
鈥 All assembly tools and test equipment are designed and cleaned to avoid contamination of product.
Cleaning
鈥 All parts are cleaned to normal production standards before being brought into the Controlled Area.
鈥 Parts are ultrasonically cleaned in a hot, dilute solution of oxygen-compatible cleaner in purified water
for at least 10 minutes.
鈥 Parts are rinsed in purified water, then dried with heat and/or forced (ambient) air or compressed nitrogen.
Post-Cleaning Inspection
鈥 Cleaned parts are inspected under white and ultraviolet light to insure the absence of particulate and hydrocarbon contamination.
鈥 After inspection, parts are either assembled immediately, or bagged and labeled as 鈥淐leaned for Oxygen service鈥 for later assembly.
Lubrication
鈥 Components are lubricated with oxygen compatible PFPE grease, only as needed for assembly.
Assembly/Testing
鈥 All assembly tools and test equipment are designed and cleaned to avoid contamination of product.
鈥 Assembled valves are tested using compressed nitrogen.
Packaging & Identification
鈥 Finished valves are double bagged in heat sealed polyethylene bags and labeled 鈥淐leaned for Oxygen Service.鈥
Usage
鈥 Valves should remain in their sealed bags until ready for assembly.
鈥 Care must be taken to avoid contaminating parts during assembly.
鈥 Any lubricants or thread sealants used with this valve must be compatible with oxygen.
鈥 Purchaser is responsible for safely applying these valves in an oxygen environment.
