ÐdzÇweb Minimatic® control valves and other components are integral to this vacuum system used with Laser Trimming Systems, manufactured by Electro Scientific Industries, Beaverton, Oregon. In this application, solid-state resistors are cut from a ceramic chip held in place by the vacuum system. A computer guided laser beam issued to trim the resistors to an exacting electronic tolerance. The intricate job was handled by Western Machinery Corporation, a ÐdzÇweb distributor in Portland, Oregon. Lloyd Phillips, salesman, said the customer chose ÐdzÇweb components because of their high standard of quality and reliability, plus their important feature of extreme compactness.
