Modular Valve Line Overview

Modular Valves are quite simple compared to other pneumatic components when you examine the elements that make up the line of products. ÌýEssentially there are only 3 base valves and 18 different ways to actuate the base valve. ÌýThese combinations give a variety of versatile valve elements that broaden the possibilities when designing a pneumatic circuit. ÌýThese valves are the ideal manifold mounted solution to pneumatic circuit applications.

Modular Series Base Valves

Can be used as a:
• 2-way normally closed valve
• 2-way normally open valve
• 3-way normally closed valve
• 3-way normally open valve
• 3-way diverter valve
• 3-way selector valve
Can be used as a:
• 4-way fully ported valve
• Dual 2-way valves
Ìý(one N.O. & one N.C.)
• Dual 3-way valves withÌýcommon exhaust
Ìý(one N.O. & one N.C.)
Can be used as a:
• 6-way fully ported valve
• Dual 2-way normally closed valve
• Dual 2-way normally open valve
• Dual 3-way normally closed valve
• Dual 3-way normally open valve
• Dual selector valve

Key Points to the Modular Line:

ÌýÌý•ÌýAll Valves are Universally Ported
Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý (There is not a required directionÌý
Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìýfor flow through the valve ports)

ÌýÌý•ÌýUse Any Compatibles FluidÌý
Ìý •ÌýFlow is 9 SCFM at 100 PSIG
Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý (255 lpm at 6.9 bar)

ÌýÌý•ÌýVacuum to 150 PSI
Ìý •ÌýBalanced Spool DesignÌý
Ìý •ÌýAll Valves are Keyed to manifoldÌý
Ìý •ÌýValves are interchangeable to alter

Key Points to Actuator Methods:

Ìý •ÌýEach Valve needs 2 Actuators

Ìý •ÌýNot all Actuators can be combined
Ìý Ìý on same valve ÌýÌý(8 ports max)

ÌýÌý•ÌýMinimum Pressure for Pilots:
Ìý Ìý ÌýWith Spring = 40 PSIG Minimum
Ìý Ìý ÌýWithout ÌýSpring = 20 PSIG Minimum
Ìý Ìý ÌýLower pressure pilots available

Here is where the flexibility for design and versatility of function come in: Ìý Combine your base valve with 2 of the following.

Example: ÌýAn Auxiliary Pilot and Single Air Pilot combined with a 3-Way base valve give you the R-301
